Founded by Carles Abellán, a chef who trained at El Bulli, as his own personal tribute to our all-time favourite bars. They only serve classic tapas made using traditional home-style methods. Special mention to the fried eggs with botifarra del Perol sausage and the cod omelette with broad beans and Padrón peppers. And of course they do traditional croquettes, bravas (spicy potatoes) and Barceloneta bomba (meatball with potato, aioli and spicy sauce). Hearty breakfasts. Laid-back, fresh, appealing space with high tables and stools. Outdoor terrace. An ode to the roots of our culinary heritage, now famous the world over.
